Red Market & Martial Vivot is at 3008 South Dixie Highway — roughly ten minutes from the island, west over either the Southern Boulevard or Royal Park bridge. For Palm Beach residents that is a shorter run than most cross-town trips on the mainland, and considerably easier than parking on Worth Avenue.
The reason people cross the bridge for us is the training rather than the address. This salon is a collaboration between Paul Desmarre and Martial Vivot — forty years of Paris-trained craftsmanship between them — and both cut and colour the French way: freehand painting rather than foils, and a cut built around the head rather than a template. It is the technique you would find on the Rive Gauche, at a South Dixie address.
Palm Beach is also a season town, and we plan around it. From January through April the calendar tightens considerably, so standing appointments through the season are worth arranging in advance rather than week to week.

- About ten minutes. Take either the Southern Boulevard or Royal Park bridge west, then south on Dixie — we are at 3008 South Dixie Highway. There is parking on site, which is the part most island guests appreciate.
- Should I book ahead during the season?
- Yes. January through April is our busiest stretch and the diary fills well in advance. If you want a particular colourist or a regular slot through the season, arrange it early rather than booking week to week.
